Run on Boot to Qt devices
To run and debug an application on a Boot to Qt device (commercial only), create connections from the development host to the device and add the device to kits.
To build an application and run it on a Boot to Qt device:
- Connect the device to the computer with a USB cable. Qt Creator automatically adds the device to Preferences > Devices and to suitable Boot to Qt kits in Preferences > Kits.
- Select
(Run).
Qt Creator uses the compiler from the kit (toolchain) to build the application. It then copies the application files to the connected device and runs the application. The application views are displayed on the device.
Command-line output is visible in the Qt Creator Application Output view.
Specify run settings for Boot to Qt devices
To specify settings for running applications on the Run device that you select for a kit, go to Projects > Run Settings.
The run settings display the path to the executable file on the development host and on the device.
