Variant layer type conflict

Layers with the same name in different variants have different types: for example, a frame in one variant and a component instance in another, or instances of two different components.

Figma to Qt converts variants into states of one QML component, so such layers cannot be merged into one QML item, and their variant changes are dropped, together with the changes to any layers inside them.

In the following example, the background layer is an instance in the Default variant, but a frame in the Small variant.

Variant layer type conflict

Use the same layer type in every variant, or give the layers distinct names so that each variant's state shows its own layer.
