Record from the UI

To record profiling data:

• Select Start recording.
• Use the application to collect data.
• Select Stop recording to view the results.

Record a command from the command line

Record for a fixed duration

{TODO: procedure for --record-for, which takes a positive number of seconds, starts recording on launch, stops after the duration, and then shows the trace. It is meant to be combined with --launch and optionally --backend. See startTimedRecording() in qtprofilerwindow.h}
