Detailed Description

field is a structured value type usable in QML. It maps directly to the type_description_interfaces::msg::Field ROS 2 message type.

Construct a field in QML by assigning a JavaScript object whose keys are its component properties, or by setting those properties individually.

defaultValue : string

Literal default value of the field as a string, as it appeared in the original

message description file, whether that be .msg/.srv/.action or .idl.

name : string

Name of the field.

type : fieldType

Type of the field, including details about the type like length, nested name, etc.
