Detailed Description

This message is used in MetricsStatisticsMessage, defined in MetricsStatisticsMessage.msg.

Examples of the value of data point are - average size of messages received - standard deviation of the period of messages published - maximum age of messages published

A value of nan represents no data is available. One example is that standard deviation is only available when there are two or more data points but there is only one, and in this case the value would be nan. +inf and -inf are not allowed.

StatisticDataPointPublisher publishes statisticDataPoint values to a ROS 2 topic. Set the topic and node properties, then call publish() to send messages.

data : double

The data field value included in the next publish. Setting this property emits dataChanged and, when autoPublish is true, requests a publish at the end of the current event-loop iteration.

dataType : uint8_t

The dataType field value included in the next publish. Setting this property emits dataTypeChanged and, when autoPublish is true, requests a publish at the end of the current event-loop iteration.

void publish(statisticDataPoint msg)

Publishes statisticDataPoint msg to the ROS 2 topic set by the topic property. Does nothing if the publisher is not connected.
