Qt ROS2 Module

Provides Qt and QML integration with ROS 2 (Robot Operating System). More...

This module is in Experimental Extension state.

Classes

QRos2Context

Owns the process-wide ROS 2 context and the executor that spins it

Detailed Description

Qt ROS2 Bridge enables Qt applications to communicate with ROS 2 nodes by publishing and subscribing to topics, calling and providing services, and sending action goals — all from C++ or QML.

Getting started

Link the module and declare what your application does:

find_package(Qt6 REQUIRED COMPONENTS Quick Ros2Core)

qt_ros2_configure_target(my_target
    CAPABILITIES PUBLISHER
    MODULES QtRos2GeometryMessages
)

Declare a node in QML. Declaring a Node initializes the process-wide ROS 2 context on demand, so most applications never declare a Context of their own:

import QtRos2.Core

Node {
    nodeName: "my_qt_node"
}
