Detailed Description

This message is mostly used by the tf2 package. See its documentation for more information.

The child_frame_id is necessary in addition to the frame_id in the Header to communicate the full reference for the transform in a self contained message.

TransformStampedPublisher publishes transformStamped values to a ROS 2 topic. Set the topic and node properties, then call publish() to send messages.

childFrameId : string

The childFrameId field value included in the next publish. Setting this property emits childFrameIdChanged and, when autoPublish is true, requests a publish at the end of the current event-loop iteration.

header : header

The header field value included in the next publish. Setting this property emits headerChanged and, when autoPublish is true, requests a publish at the end of the current event-loop iteration.

transform : transform

The transform field value included in the next publish. Setting this property emits transformChanged and, when autoPublish is true, requests a publish at the end of the current event-loop iteration.

void publish(transformStamped msg)

Publishes transformStamped msg to the ROS 2 topic set by the topic property. Does nothing if the publisher is not connected.
