- QVector3D toVector3D()
Detailed Description
This is semantically different than a point. A vector is always anchored at the origin. When a transform is applied to a vector, only the rotational component is applied.
vector3 is a structured value type usable in QML. It maps directly to the geometry_msgs::msg::Vector3 ROS 2 message type.
Similar to QtQuick's vector3d value type but stored as three double components, matching the ROS 2 wire format. Use toVector3D() / fromVector3D to bridge to QVector3D when its math API is needed.
Construct a vector3 in QML by assigning a JavaScript object whose keys are its component properties, by setting those properties individually, or by composing it with a factory function of the Vector3 helper type.
