Detailed Description

The pose in this message should be specified in the coordinate frame given by header.frame_id The twist in this message should be specified in the coordinate frame given by the child_frame_id

OdometryPublisher publishes odometry values to a ROS 2 topic. Set the topic and node properties, then call publish() to send messages.

childFrameId : string

The childFrameId field value included in the next publish. Setting this property emits childFrameIdChanged and, when autoPublish is true, requests a publish at the end of the current event-loop iteration.

header : header

The header field value included in the next publish. Setting this property emits headerChanged and, when autoPublish is true, requests a publish at the end of the current event-loop iteration.

pose : poseWithCovariance

The pose field value included in the next publish. Setting this property emits poseChanged and, when autoPublish is true, requests a publish at the end of the current event-loop iteration.

twist : twistWithCovariance

The twist field value included in the next publish. Setting this property emits twistChanged and, when autoPublish is true, requests a publish at the end of the current event-loop iteration.

Method Documentation

void publish(odometry msg)

Publishes odometry msg to the ROS 2 topic set by the topic property. Does nothing if the publisher is not connected.
