Version 3.2.0

Squish Test Center 3.2.0 is a feature release that offers several new features and improvements. Most notably the release includes a new result reporting API, a git commit history dialog, and a new way to share results via result badges. See the following sections for a complete list of all changes.

Result upload improvements

  • We added a new result reporting API. You can use it to upload results from testing frameworks whose result formats we did not yet support. It allows uploading results with a high level of detail including screenshots, attachments and even screenshot verification points. More information about how to use the API can be found in the documentation.
  • As part of the new result reporting API we now provide full support for uploading detailed result reports from Robot Framework test executions. The Robot Framework support is documented here.

Repository Integration

Result Badges

  • High-level results can now easily be shared outside of Test Center in external systems like Confluence, GitHub or internal knowledge bases, using embeddable result badge images.

  • Columns of the History View Stats page can now be configured to be shown or not. This is especially helpful when you have many different annotation types.
  • The Explore View summary now shows the correct results when annotations are used.
  • Annotations are now also visible on the compare page.
  • The Matching Rule for annotations is now also applied to the detail messages of events.

General enhancements

  • Fixed some instances where the Older Batches column on the Explore View would not show the correct Batches or no Batches at all. This should also improve moving back and forth between batches.
  • Fixed an issue with removing recently uploaded manual test attachments.
  • Fixed an issue with filtering for test names on the Verification View.
  • The execution of arbitrary commands by the scheduler now needs to be explicitly enabled by an admin user via the ExecuteProcessAction setting inside the config/application.ini.
  • There have been some security related fixes and improvements.

3rd-party tool integration

  • Fixed a crash when pushing results to Polarion ALM instances.
