Previewing Applications on Devices

You can preview your application directly on physical devices. This guide covers how to do it on:

• Android devices
• Boot to Qt devices

Previewing on Android Devices

To preview an application on an Android device, use Qt UI Viewer. See Viewing applications on Android.

Previewing on Boot to Qt devices

Setup

Before you can preview an application, set up your Boot to Qt device:

1. Configure your device according to the quick start guide in the Boot to Qt documentation.
2. Connect the device to your computer with a USB cable or wirelessly. USB-connected devices are detected automatically. If you connect wirelessly, you need to set up the connection:
   1. Go to Preferences > Devices.
   2. From the Add drop-down menu, select Start Wizard to Add Device.
   3. Select Boot to Qt Device and follow the instructions in the wizard to complete the setup.

Previewing

To preview your application on the connected device:

1. In the bottom toolbar, select Boot2Qt device from the kit drop-down menu.

   

2. Select Run App from the Run drop-down menu in the top toolbar or press Alt+P.
